Episode 50 | So much James Tynion IV

This week’s episode was recorded on December 20th, 2015. Hosts Mike, James, and Paul do what we always do on this show: Talk about what we read last week and what we’re excited for this week (Transformers vs G.I. Joe #10, Island #5, and Paybacks #4). Following, the gang discusses one of the hardest things to nail down in a conversation: What keeps you reading a book? Whether it’s new #1s, jumping into an ongoing series, or grabbing a graphic novel; all is discussed. Episode 49 | What’s a Judge to judge?

This week’s episode was recorded on December 13th, 2015. This week, Mike, Nick, and Paul chat about what they read last week (which was purposefully limited this time!) as well as their comic picks for the week (Ivar, Timewalker #12, Judge Dredd #1, and Invincible #126). The focus of this week’s episode was on each of the hosts “Great White Whale” of comics. And the metaphor doesn’t stop there (Harry Potter? Actually discussing Moby Dick?). Episode 48 | Sexy Bad Babies

This week’s episode was recorded on December 6th, 2015. Hosts Mike, Zander, and Tia talk their comic picks (Ms. Marvel #2, Monstress #2, and Secret Wars #8) followed by a few of the books they read in the past week or so. There’s something about cats at one point, but the big focus for the week is about comic book based/adapted TV and movies. It’s a lot of fun. Episode 47 | Chla-mutie-a

This week’s episode was recorded on November 29th, 2015. On this week’s episode, Nick, Paul, and Mike started the episode talking about their comic picks for the week then ended up talking about what they read in the last week–which was a lot. There’s talk of The Dark Knight Three: The Master Race #1, and they ended up leading ourselves into a conversation about one shots. As you may notice, we’re trying a new format this week, so if you hate it (or love it!), let us know. If you hear this episode before December 31st, 2015, please take our survey. Anyone who takes it and provides their email at the end will be gifted a comic by Mike! This episode was recorded November 22nd, 2015. Hosts Nick, Jon, and Paul chat comics for the week (as per usual), what they read (as per usual), and (gasp!) something new: What keeps you reading ongoing comics. Episode 43 | The Dissection of “Issue vs. Trade”

This week’s episode was recorded on November 1st, 2015. Mike is out this week and in his stead, Nick, James, and Paul manage to create a pretty stellar episode of the podcast. The chat what they read since the last episode, and move into their comic picks: Ninjak #9, Monstress #1, and Justice League: Darkseid War: The Flash. The main topic of this week’s episode circles around how you distinguish between buying comics in single issue or buying comics in collected editions. This leads into a discussion about variant covers where Paul doesn’t care, James loves the covers for himself sometimes, and Nick goes insane for a small moment. Episode 42 | We Support Gluten-Free Comics

This week’s episode was recorded on October 25th, 2015. Hosts Mike, Nick, and James chat about their last two week’s worth of comics (and it’s a lot)… for a while. Like, a long while. But it’s all good. Their comic picks were quick (Island #4, Book of Death #4, The Spire #4). The focus for this week was all about pull list management. How do you manage your pulls? How do you start and end a subscription? What makes a book “worthy” of being read long term?
