first! AAAAHHH HOW COULD YOU HAVE THIS TOPIC AND NOT TALK ABOUT VERA BROSGOL’S BE PREPARED IT’S SO GOOD AND I ADORE IT. Okay, I’ll stop with the all caps. I also did not go to summer camps as a kid, but this comic definitely gave me the feel of what it might look like. I also agree with Kara’s thoughts about “no seriously, where was lumberjanes when I was a kid?”
second! As someone who works in libraries, I guarantee your libraries have the Amulet series, and the books are probably pretty beat up and well loved, much like the copies in my local libraries. I’ve not picked it up myself, but it’s on my to-read radar, and does look like a lot of fun! Given that this episode aired some time ago, you have all probably determined whether your library has the series already, so this may be old news, and I apologize if so.
finally! OBVIOUSLY the camp counselors because the teen girls are like ‘OMG SPARKLY VAMPIRES!’ and the teen boys are like “DUDE WE’VE GOTTA MAKE FUN OF THIS.” BOOM. Mystery solved. You’re welcome.

AH! I’ve heard WONDERFUL things about that book. I’m going to try to grab it from my local library asap! It definitely looks right up our alley when it comes to summer camp comics! Thanks for the rec!
